All applicants must have essential soft skills such as empathy, communication, adaptability, problem- solving, and teamwork to provide effective and compassionate care, for which UVIP Recruitment is renowned. In addition to the above, we require specific qualifications and work experience for distinct roles, as highlighted below.
We require a six-month post-registration experience for this role.
We require a six-month work experience as a senior carer in the UK. All applicants should be medication-trained and have (or at least be working towards) SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare or equivalent qualifications.
We require a three-month work experience as a Care Assistant in the UK, preferably in a care home setting. Other carers or support workers in a relevant care setting may also apply, provided they have worked in the specified roles for at least six months in the UK.
Domiciliary carers, also known as home carers or private carers, are professionals who help people live independently in their own homes through daily visits or live-in care. Their role is focused on assisting with household tasks, medication, and other activities that help to maintain quality of life. Previous work experience as a support worker is desirable. However, workers who have lived in the UK for at least three months (without any relevant work experience) can apply. Extensive training and work shadowing experience will be provided as part of the induction.
